Léa Medrano is an expressionist artist based in Stockholm and is currently studying art at Södra Latins gymnasium in Södermalm. In acrylic, oil paint, and oil pastel, she explores the body as a motif, exploiting its vulnerability, authenticity, and capacity to challenge beauty ideals and norms. Nudity in her art becomes a way to celebrate the body as it actually is, beyond society’s expectations. Alongside that, she works with abstract expression in a more colorful, freer style.

Léa draws inspiration from bodily expressions such as dance and music, which is visible in the sense of movement in her work. She has exhibited at CAP Gallery, Axelsberg, and Södergården and is represented by Kollektiv Paranoia.
